How We're Paid

No cost to engage.
Know the value before you know the cost.

Sourcing engagements come at no direct cost to you, and nothing we do carries a fee you haven't seen coming. Every experienced buyer asks how that works. The straight answer: we are compensated three ways, and only three ways, laid out in full below, because the model only works when you can see how it works. No quota. No preferred platform. No resale margin.

What You Pay
$0
on sourcing engagements
Requirements & market evaluation
Shortlist & vendor negotiation
Implementation oversight
Lifecycle support
And when we renegotiate an existing contract, our fee is a share of the savings we deliver, so anything you ever pay us comes out of money we found, not budget you had.
How We Earn

New deployments

The provider you select compensates us through the technology distribution channel at standard rates, rates that exist whether or not an advisor is involved. Your pricing is the same or better than buying direct.

Renegotiations & renewals

Gain share: a percentage of delivered savings. No savings, no fee.Our interests and yours are aligned toward maximum savings.

Professional services

When our expertise is pointed at work beyond sourcing and renewals, we scope it with a project budget, transparently, before anything is signed. Time and materials or fixed fee, consumption based with ability to cancel at anytime.

No quota · No preferred platform · No resale margin
The Incentives

What keeps our advice honest

The vendor decision is always yours

We structure the evaluation, run the process, and negotiate the terms.
You choose. Every recommendation arrives with the reasoning and the numbers behind it.

No economic reason to steer.

We hold relationships with hundreds of providers and are compensated at broadly similar rates across them. Steering you toward one over another earns us nothing.

Sometimes the answer is buy nothing

If the right move is staying with your current provider, renegotiating what you have, or walking away entirely, we tell you so. It happens regularly, and it earns us the next engagement.

Referrals are the business

Our pipeline runs on introductions from private equity firms and IT leaders.
One biased recommendation would cost us more than any commission could earn.

Still have a question about the model?

Ask it directly. The fastest way to test our independence is a
conversation about your specific situation.
